These Factors really affect your CTR (Click Thru Ratio)

March 08, 2008 By: Newbornbusiness Category: Google Adsense No Comments →

More CTR (Click Thru Ratio) means more clicks on your Google Ads. It is known that position and colors of your ads has an effect on CTR; but it’s a little bit more than that. CTR also depends upon the quality of traffic, relevancy of ads, and even the subject of your website.

Good study of keywords behavior is needed; CTR varies and depends upon the keywords you are using to make the content of your website. There are many things that can affect CTR keywords; it has been proved that the more technical your topic is, the less CTR it will give you, unless the Ad content is well written.

Also a particular season has an effect on the performance of keywords. We can find some keywords that are more active around certain few months around the year, and a quite sluggish rest of the year. Like “Christmas”, “Turkey recipe”, etc…

Positions and colors is a good aspect to consider in order to improve the CTR (Clicks Thru Ratio) of your website. Google can provide you with some ideal placements of ads on your web page. Take a look at Google’s “heatmap”.

Ad Type and Density also count; some ads are not user-friendly, they are hard to read. The most effective ad is the rectangle box and vertical large banners. Users got used to ignore the horizontal ads. When your users find that you are putting too many ads, they will run away from them. Find the balance and make tests with different amounts and see what works best for you.

Targeted traffic means more CTR, more earnings, and enhanced ad convertibility. Traffic that is interested in your content is interested in your ads too, therefore your ads will be clicked more frequently.

The typical AdSense CTR is around 1-2% but that’s just for ads that were not tuned yet. Considering these Factors can put your CTR from 5% to 15%.

Making real money using Google’s AdSense program can be done. The key to making it happen is to increase the AdSense click through rate (ctr) on a site. This means turning your traffic into visitors on advertisers’ web sites.

Simple Adsense strategies to increase your income

March 06, 2008 By: Newbornbusiness Category: Google Adsense No Comments →

There are many techniques and styles to generate more clicks that can double your earnings. By utilizing these techniques and working them to your advantage, you will gain the most profit of your adsense ads:

- The proper positioning of your advertisements should be done with careful consideration. Put your advertisement in the most profitable space. According to research, the one place that visitors look first when they visit a site is the top left. Visitors tend to look at the same place when browsing through other sites.

- Remember not to ignore your site and your Google Adsense once you have finished setting them up. Spend some time making adjustments to the Adsense advertisements on your sites to quickly trigger your Adsense income.

- Use Google Adsense tracking statistics that webmasters use to track their results across a number of sites on a site by site, page by page, or any other basis they wanted. It is one powerful tool that will help you find out which advertisements are performing best. This way, you can focus more on the ones being visited the most, rather than those who are being ignored.

- Also there are some taboos you should avoid in order for your Adsense account not to be banned, and loose your chance of making real money via Adsense: Don’t click on the Google ads you’re serving through AdSense. Don’t place ads on sites that include incentives to click on ads. Don’t place ads on sites involved in the distribution of copyrighted materials. Don’t place ads on sites that include pornographic content.

What is Adsense?

February 21, 2008 By: Newbornbusiness Category: Google Adsense No Comments →

Google AdSense is a fast and easy way for website publishers of all sizes to display relevant Google ads on their website’s content pages and earn money. AdSense is an advertising program run by Google. Webmasters who decide to take part in it add a special Java script to their websites that allows AdSense to display ads on the webpage it is installed in.

The ads come from advertisers who have subscribed to the AdWords program and placed there their own ads. Then AdSense program places them at the AdSense websites that seem to be the most appropriate.

Google acts only as an intermediary and editor; it is neither the source nor the real provider of any ads. Once visitors click on any of the ads displayed on your site, Google will in turn pay you a certain percentage of what the advertiser pays them. Publishers act like sub-contractors. Google is paid to show ads by advertisers, Google pays publishers to show those ads on their sites.

It begins within the AdWords program. When advertisers create their ads, they also choose key phrases that are relevant to their ads. When a website is signed to the AdSense program sends digital “robots” which use proprietary algorithms to parse the host web page and analyze the content in an effort to determine what keywords are relevant. Then adsense sends the adverts that are completely related to your content.

Google Adsense is an advertising program that is unique because the ads are relevant to the content on the site. Anyone that wants to advertise pays Google for it. Anyone who wants to place ads on their site does this through Adsense, getting paid by Google in the process.

Relevancy is the key to the programs success, and also the reason why everyone remains happy. The advertiser has a relevantly placed advert, the publisher earns money from their content and Google take their cut.
