What is White Hat SEO?

May 17, 2008 By: Newbornbusiness Category: SEO No Comments →

White Hat SEO understands that good search engine rankings takes time and don’t try to rush results.

White Hat SEO focuses on building quality content first and SEO second. It may use technology and automation to build their websites, but they use it to accomplish certain goals. They write content for people, not search engines. White Hat SEO tends to rely more on their content and marketing skills to achieve a top ranking, rather than automated programs. Everybody should strive to be a white hat SEO and focus on writing quality content.

Marketers who use White Hat SEO seek long term successful results rather than instant under the table success. Their tactics include ethical marketing strategies to increase the website’s relevance without compromising the content. The sites are also designed so search engines can easily index and spider them.

White hat SEO techniques are something you can see. They do not necessarily follow search engine guidelines to the letter but neither do they view search engines per se as the enemy. What white hat SEO techniques ultimately care about is pleasing their human visitors in the belief that doing so will eventually please search engine spiders as well. Some White Hat SEO techniques are Valuable Content, Efficient and User-Friendly Layouts, valuable link exchanges as well as descriptive and detailed page titles.

White Hat is the only way to go; White Hats feel that breaking several rules isn’t worth turning a few heads. The risks are great and will not build long term success. When you use White Hat SEO tactics you run absolutely no risk of being banned by the search engines and visitors.

What is Black Hat SEO?

May 15, 2008 By: Newbornbusiness Category: SEO No Comments →

Black Hat SEO began to be used by many internet marketers to promote their site and have flows of traffic to visit their site.

Black Hat SEO is also known as SEO spamming, and is when someone creates websites that have little or no value, “Black Hat” tactics are those used by people who try to undermine or work around the search engines’ policies. They try to trick, manipulate, and cheat their way into higher rankings on Google and other search engines.

Black hat” SEO employs more deceptive methods to try to improve rankings. The search engines usually disapprove these methods.

People build multiple websites on a general theme. They generally create the websites with automated tools, and use scraped content from other people’s websites.

Black Hats argue that no matter what attention you are getting, the attention itself is what you’re striving for. The whole aim is to give one or more sites a huge boost in search engine results pages, and most of the sites have no purpose other than to drive traffic to the primary site.

Black Hat SEO can get banned, when the search engines catch-on. It is very risky SEO business, short-lived strategies, and it can especially cause damage, when it is used on a website, that you have invested heavily resources in.

How to use Keywords perfectly & gain the most of your business

April 01, 2008 By: Newbornbusiness Category: Keywords No Comments →

You are required to use key words smartly, we differ from each others while using our vocabulary; three people use three different related keywords, almost every word has a synonym or is used in a combination with other words. That is why depending on a single keyword will not work; instead to gain maximized exposure you can try using the main keyword and a combination of synonyms as well as related keywords in your content. It is important that your website appears for the keywords because the subject is the same.

But wait….That doesn’t mean to use every synonyms and related words that come to your mind; you need to be patient with the keywords. Use the main keyword and two synonyms or related terms maximum in the article.

Make sure you spell important keywords in American as well as British English. For example if you are managing to use a keyword like “jeweler”, you would want to include ‘jewelry’ and ‘jewellery’.

Be specific in your keywords selection; this can lead to more sales, It would be more effective to have 5 users interested in your product/service browse you site, rather than 25 that are interested in the general keyword you entered.

If you have a large website, you should be sure; you will have maybe hundreds of keywords to take care of at the same time. This can lead to confusion especially if you optimized each page for the related keywords. Keyword management during this time can be really helpful.

As with all forms of marketing you need to monitor the performance of each key phrase over time, drop those that aren’t working or are giving a poor return on investment and beef up those that are working well.

How to find the right keywords to use

March 26, 2008 By: Newbornbusiness Category: Keywords No Comments →

Choosing keywords is not quite as easy as simply naming a product or category. There are many factors that should influence your decision as to what defines the right keywords.

An important tool that you can use to find the right keywords is the keyword tracking tool; Keyword tracking tools can be of immense help when finding keywords and their synonyms. Once you enter the main keyword in keyword tool, the result given will content the main keyword, as many numbers of times it is used and next would be the related keywords and synonyms. This will give you the general idea of the keywords and enable you to decipher the popularity of each of your keywords and keyword phrases. Retain the most popular or frequently searched terms and discard those that are rarely searched.

Google Adwords, Overture Search Term Suggestion Tool and Alta Vista’s Prisma are also good tools to use when choosing keywords.

After that you will need to check out each keyword and find out whether or not it is relevant for your website. Your target should be those which are useful to you in spite of their densities.

List down the most commonly used keywords for your type of business; Research your competitors and view their Meta tags to see which keywords they are using. You have to always look to update your keywords based on the feedback received from visitors to your site, customers and website logs. Website logs can give exact information on which keywords are successful and which are not.

Remember that using perfect and targeted keywords cannot just increase your sales; it also ends up bringing meaningful traffic to your website.

The Importance of Keywords

March 20, 2008 By: Newbornbusiness Category: Keywords No Comments →

Keywords or keyword phrases are those terms that a potential customer uses on a search engine to look for a product or service that a website provides.

Keywords are very important for any content, without keywords the content would not have the direction nor would it have the ability to attract search engines. Without keywords no one searching for a particular content would ever be able to find it.

Most online marketers are ready to accept the fact that search engines can bring a large volume of low cost traffic to a website, The importance of using the right keywords lies in that; whenever a term is put in for search by users, the search engine spiders start checking out Meta tags for the keyword used, after the tags search engine spiders search through the content to find out whether same keyword has been used anywhere in the content. If the density of keyword used matches its requirement, your website gets precedence.

Finding out which keywords people search for when they are looking for information on your topic is very important, whether you are writing on a blog, writing articles, or writing an ebook you will want to choose your keywords carefully before you begin to write. Using keywords is considered a form of search engine optimization.

The main purpose of everyone’s efforts is to have customers that are looking for specific products/services. Finding your specific products/services and reaching that goal can be simple with the use of the right keywords.

While choosing the right keywords is vital to the success of a marketing campaign, choosing keywords that are inappropriate will target the wrong people making the process of converting eyeballs to sales a nightmare.

Pros and Cons of Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

February 27, 2008 By: Newbornbusiness Category: SEO 1 Comment →

In order to create an effective strategy you need to understand a bit more about how search engine marketing works. Knowing the advantages and disadvantages of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) can help you to go on the right way.

- SEO increases the traffic that occurs. The chances of attracting an increased amount of visitors is rather high when successful SEO places your website within the top 10 or top 20 of the most popular search engine results on the Web.

- SEO is really affordable; there are plenty of approaches that a website owner may take to make their site more visible to the public. They may even purchase advertising spaces on Google AdWords, which charge per click.

- SEO is typically more affordable than traditional advertising techniques; it seeks to connect with people who are already looking for what you offer. You are putting yourself in front of people who are actively looking for the kinds of products and/or services you provide.

- SEO makes the web site, both search engine and user friendly by content and html code optimization. Search engine friendly web design ensures the site is easily crawled and indexed by search engines.

All of the previous points don’t assume that Search Engine visibility is the best marketing strategy for all businesses all of the time, there are some drawbacks as well:

- Results (rankings and traffic) start slowly. You will normally see results within 3-4 months.

- The fact that Search Engines algorithms change, what causes lack of guarantees and certainty, confuses many online marketers. Many online marketers consider it as one of the SEO’s worst down points. They assume that a business that relies heavily on search engine traffic can suffer major losses if the search engines stop sending visitors and it is better to liberate yourself from dependence on search engine traffic and instead make the technique of having links from other websites (with its various shapes) your main sources of traffic.

- There are some old search engine optimization techniques that were deemed to be spamming the search engines and can actually get your website blacklisted. You have to avoid those types of strategies because once you have been blacklisted by the search engines, you will never get your site indexed and listed with beneficial ranking in the search engine results.

How to make the most profit of your business using SEO?

January 26, 2008 By: Newbornbusiness Category: SEO No Comments →

Having a website would be a waste of time without the proper SEO. You have to optimize it to as many major search engines as you can in order to drive an endless number of visitors and quality traffic to your website.

Your website content should focus on providing quality content surrounding your keywords or phrases. Search volume and how many other sites are competing for the same word or phrases should be considered and need to be the basis of what you’re looking for.

The description meta tag is how your webpage will appear in the search index, always bear in mind that the keyword meta tag will further specify what terms will be discussed in your content. You should also make sure that your title describes your content. When the Search Engine spiders crawl your webpage, they will find that your title specifies what the webpage is about.

Obtaining quality backlinks is considered the most time consuming part of SEO. One way of achieving multiple backlinks is to Post your website content to many article and search engine directories. Search engine robots frequently scan web directories for information so you need to have your website in a directory to get indexed quickly.

An important thing for search engine optimization that will allow the spiders to crawl your entire site is to have your links organized; place a “Sitemap” and “contact us” links on each article page, this will allow search bots to move fluidly through your website without running into broken links.

Another important rule to consider while using SEO is that never try to repeat keywords, focusing on keywords does not mean repeating them over and over at all.

Remember that Google considers websites with repetitive keywords as “spam”

Keyword density has increasingly become less important to search engine robots as it can be viewed as spam if over used. Try to be very light with the density (no more than 12%)

Finally, here is the ultimate fact; you can really make a lot of money through search engine optimization, you can help the other websites in their promotional activities. If you help them by placing their links or their banner ads, you can earn a lot by charging them for this favor.

You have to tell the people using World Wide Web that you are there, Search engine optimization is a must if you want your web site to do well.
