Building reciprocal links

October 10, 2008 By: Newbornbusiness Category: Incoming Links No Comments →

Adding reciprocal links to your website will help you in two ways. While reciprocal links are not the only way to build quality traffic to your website, they are very useful. The second way that reciprocal links work to help you are by boosting your rankings with the search engines. When using reciprocal links to help you build quality traffic, the first step is to find link partners by searching in the major search engines.

Websites may not respond to your request very quickly. The process can actually be a little frustrating. When looking to build quality traffic for your home based business, be sure that you keep good records of all of the sites that you approach when looking to build reciprocal links.

But how do you persuade high quality, relevant sites to link to yours? If you haven’t received a response in about three weeks time, send a polite reminder to them. When you are dealing with like websites, it is easy for some to get lost in the shuffle. The trick is to find sites that actually complement yours.

You can follow the next steps:

1-     Do good quality research to find quality links to help you build traffic for your home based business. When the search engines rank sites, they evaluate the amount and the quality of the websites that you have linked back to you and your home based business.

2-     Begin your quest to draw quality traffic by placing a link from one of the complementary sites to your website. While many experts will tell you it is best to actually contact the website you are choosing to link to before hand; this can show initiative on your part and that you truly like their site.

3-     Check out their resource pages, you may find some sites that you would like to link to as well.

4-     Be patient, but also do not give up. When you are beginning a home based business, one of the many ways to draw quality traffic to your website is by learning how to add reciprocal links to your site.

5-      While some people do actually link to their competitors, it is best to stay with sites that are complementary and not direct competitors.

Individuals that visit or shop the site that you link with are now able to visit your website by clicking the link that has been placed on the linking site. Try to not go for the first companies that you come across on the web; do your homework. But there are things you must do to increase your success when learning how to add reciprocal links to websites

Do you really understand Database Marketing?

September 25, 2008 By: Newbornbusiness Category: Marketing Techniques 1 Comment →

Customer Relationship Management or “CRM” is very important and is considered all the buzz in marketing, simply because Managing customer relations can lead to increased profits for a business. From this point, an important marketing technique emerged “Database Marketing”, which is a powerful and competitive weapon – especially on the Internet.

Database Marketing “DBM” is an interactive approach to marketing communication, which uses addressable communications media (mail, email, telephone, fax, etc.) to reach the target audience. DBM helps to communicate directly with the customers providing all the means for the customers or prospects to respond. It is a way of making people happy, improving all the future contacts, and is set up to measure and fulfill the response. In a nutshell, It is used to move customers up the ladder.
The growth of Database Marketing is rooted in the small business philosophy of staying close to the customers, under-standing and meeting their needs, and treating them well before and after the sale.

If you own a business deals with a wide customer base that has a degree of homogeneity, it will worth considering a Database Marketing. Unlike many other marketing techniques, Database Marketing, isn’t fit for every small business. Companies that use database marketing spend time and effort in gathering, organizing and analyzing customer data on a continuous basis.
“DBM” presents many challenges to management as it requires careful maintenance of great volumes of detailed customer data. Also accessing the data, interpreting it, and using it to drive or support the marketing function requires a long-term marketing systems development policy.

The power of database marketing lies in its ability to target individual or groups of customers with messages specifically tailored to their needs. But “DBM” must be used the right way; Database Marketers must be careful not to violate any laws while launching their campaigns. Issues regarding privacy of information and solicitation of business have come under regulatory action and should be taken into considerations.

Affiliate Marketing Scams Can Rob You Blind

September 19, 2008 By: Newbornbusiness Category: Affiliate Marketing 1 Comment →

Affiliate marketing is a great way to make money; the ability to create matchless income with affiliate marketing can not only be a great way to succeed in your business, but also a major way to find yourself at the mercy of scam artists. If you are an affiliate and worried about being scammed by a publisher or network, then it’s better to continue reading…

There are many affiliate marketing guides out there that are simply scams and have a lot of hype surrounding them. They are targeted towards affiliate marketers who are desperate to find a way to sell their affiliate products and save their failing campaigns.
You should be aware of the fact that Affiliate Marketing is a business and it needs to be treated like a real business in order to be successful in the long run. Most guides that are scams are those that promise you to start making money the first day you put their techniques to use.

One of the most popular affiliate marketing scams is Pay for Membership Affiliate Offers; Never pay to join an affiliate network. If an affiliate program requires a “Fee” to join, you should simply stay away. Start up fee at registration, is not only unnecessary, it is also a bad sign of things to come from the network.

It is always good to find affiliate programs that pay high commissions. But you will have to take note that there will be some marketers who will just offer high commissions in order to only have their thrash products promoted, as a result your credibility will be spoilt and loose your business.

Beware and become sure that if you set up your affiliate marketing business as a true business and work to make it grow by using good business strategies rather than relying on schemes, the potential for your business to profit will increase. Try to do some researches before you take your first step into Affiliate Marketing, this will prevent you from wasting your time and your money joining affiliate program scams. You can also join some forums and networks involving work from home boards where you can meet others in affiliate marketing and learn from them. Make sure to read everything and don’t be afraid to ask questions about any affiliate program you may consider joining.

Which works better for you, a HTML or a Plain Text Newsletter?

August 21, 2008 By: Newbornbusiness Category: Newsletters No Comments →

When you start writing a Newsletter you should think about an important thing that should this email and newsletter that appear in your users’ inbox, be written in HTML or Plain Text?

It is very simple question and the answer is that it depends on the business you are in and the circumstances around you; Newsletters in plain text are usually the best option, but HTML is also acceptable nowadays.

Plain text email newsletters are extremely quick and easy to compose, and to send. If you choose plain text for your newsletters, you’ll be limited to a very plain, simple newsletter. Plain text newsletters cannot contain color or graphics, and you won’t be able to incorporate any design elements, such as varying text styles and sizes, or formatting text into multiple columns.

HTML looks more professional, it is considered a powerful tool because it allows you to develop a deeper brand identity within the recipients email box and presents a more powerful presentation of your offerings.

There are some internet marketers who believe that changing from text to HTML format is better because studies show that click rates are higher for HTML-formatted newsletters. And others believe that HTML Newsletters give the sense that they are not personalized emails, which makes your newsletters most likely not to be read in most cases. It’s only natural to believe that converting subscribers’ preferences will increase response.

The fact now is that you are not going to predict your subscribers’ need or what will they find interesting or accept; therefore you should let your customers tell you how they want to receive content and offers. Rather than try to guess at customer acceptance, ask them for preferences directly. Newsletters should have a preferences question allowing permission email subscribers to set their own format preference.

Important rules and ways to have an effective Newsletter

August 03, 2008 By: Newbornbusiness Category: Newsletters 2 Comments →

It’s obvious that your newsletter can only be effective if people bother to read it. Newsletters and articles specific to your customer base are a good way to stay in touch with your customers and they can be created very easily and can be built with virtually no technical expertise. Just you will need to consider the following:

* It is important that your e-newsletter contains interesting articles and that the information is easy to read. You can create a newsletter and make the most use of it is to fill it with original content and make sure that your URL is well displayed. If people feel that they’re getting good content from your newsletter, they’ll come to the site to find out more.

* Choose interesting headlines which are enticing and curiosity-building. In an introductory paragraph introduce subscribers to what they will learn; you can even include a “what’s inside” section. Your lead article should be a very short, “quick tips” article so people can view at least one article without clicking through to your site.

* Doing a newsletter requires a commitment of time and also effort. If you promise to deliver at a certain time each day or week or month, then you will need to deliver on time. If you do not, you will simply loose your credibility.

* Newsletters can even be a great source of income all on their own; you can set up a recurring payment plan and bill your customers in regular basics in exchange for your valuable information. You can even put paid advertisements in your newsletter; since you own the newsletter, any of your related products or services would get prime advertising space. And you can charge other vendors to place their advertisements in your newsletter. But make sure that all the ads are relevant.

* something you should always bear in mind that Your Newsletters should not be used solely for promoting special offers or selling stuff, because people don’t appreciate that and you’ll lose many of your subscribers if you do.

* Don’t forget to provide your contact information on every page of your newsletter. At a minimum, you should supply your readers with your web address, email address, and your phone number. Footers and headers are perfect for that purpose.

The Three Deadly Sins of Marketing

July 24, 2008 By: Newbornbusiness Category: Marketing Techniques, Promote Your Business 1 Comment →

Do you struggle to find success in your business? Every marketers, who have their own business, dream that they can one day succeed and gain profits from their business. But they should always remember that this is only possible if they do not commit the 3 deadly sins of marketing which are (Spam, Telemarketing, and Unsolicited Faxes).

Many marketers as they simply don’t have their own clear plan to promote their sales and succeed with their business fall into these 3 deadly sins of marketing. Sales really count, and they should be on board with what is happening in their marketing campaign. But the idea of achieving the best sales can’t be an incentive for you to shelter to such destroying marketing techniques. It is all about how to achieve the best sales without committing the 3 deadly sins of marketing.

Telemarketing and Unsolicited Faxes can be considered the oldest cousins of Spam.
What is your first reaction when you receive a call from a telemarketer? Many of us simply hang up; others promptly register on the national Do Not Call List. Most people already have a great dislike for telemarketers and they always consider a telemarketer as an aggressive sales person. Why is telemarketing, then, still so common? Forget what you think telemarketing is and the idea that it is used by the largest companies in the world to introduce products. Telemarketing can lead you to loose a lot of sales in your business, simply because it is really annoying!

The practice of advertising goods or services through unsolicited faxes has been illegal since 1991, but there are still some marketers who apply this technique to their business discarding an important fact that; The person or business on whose behalf a fax is sent or whose property, goods, or services are advertised is liable for a violation of the junk fax rules, even if the person or business did not physically send the fax. The recipients of junk faxes are entitled to file suit against junk fax senders as well and obtain judgment for a minimum of $500 per violation.

Spam is the common word for the unsolicited emails that we receive. Using Spam as a fraudulent attempt to get personal or business information from your consumers is not suggested marketing technique. A lot of Internet or email providers have a spam blocker that is just needs to be activated or configured. Therefore if you insisted on sending this kind of spam emails, you would have your domain blocked, depriving any further messages to be delivered to your consumers and they will all fall into the junk folder.

These are just the tip of the “don’t-do-this” iceberg – you should start by ridding your business of these 3 deadly marketing sins, and you’ll definitely be on the right track. Always be sure that; the more you keep away from using these marketing mistakes, the more you can succeed with your business.
