Coming Back from the Banned World Of Google Adsense

October 20, 2008 By: Mohamed Elmasry Category: Google Adsense 2 Comments →

If you are a google adsense publisher, you may have heard many frightened stories about the banned publishers who suddenly found their account disabled and their businesses are destroyed even before start because they depend on Google to earn money.

Some are threatening and some other is moaning but both didn’t push Google to open their accounts again. Actually, banned publishers should be so calm and be sure of that if they are following Google’s policies, they can reinstate their account back.

Google disables publishers’ accounts immediately as an immediate measure to stop any attempt that may drain advertisers’ budgets, and then they investigate if this messure was right or not. So don’t panic. It is not the end of the world. When Google disables any account, you receive the famous massage which informs you about the right action you can do. The message contains a link to info page. If you visited this page, you will find that there is a link to a form page that helps you to reinstate your account.

To fill this form, you have to consider the following points:

1- Be calm, polite and honest

2- Fill all required info

3- Explain all your marketing activities in details and traffic flow.

4- If you monitor your web traffic, please attach a log file.

You may need to wait for two weeks or more before receiving a message from Google, notifying you that they are processing your appeal and review your site. This review may take a week. If they enable your account, you will get a very friendly message including the following “Thank you for clarifying your situation. We have reviewed your
circumstances and have reinstated your account, effective immediately.
Please note that there will be a delay of up to 48 hours before our
servers are informed of the update and ads start running on your website
again.”

You may wonder how I’m sure of that. It is simply because I was there in this banned world. As I came back you can too. If you are sure of the fact that you are following their rules and policies , and if you are sure these invalid clicks were never generated by you, or any automated method, then you can have some hope of reinstating your account again.

For Adwords Advertisers ,Watch your security

October 13, 2008 By: Mohamed Elmasry Category: Scam 3 Comments →

Recently , as an adwords advertiser, I got recently message from Google saying that.

“Hello,

Our attempt to charge your credit card for your
outstanding Google AdWords account balance was declined.
Your account is still open. However, your ads have been suspended. Once
we are able to charge your card and receive payment for your account
balance, we will re-activate your ads.

Please update your billing information, even if you plan to use the
same credit card. This will trigger our billing system to try charging
your card again. You do not need to contact us to reactivate your
account.

To update your primary payment information, please follow these steps:

1. Log in to your account at http://adwords.google.com/select.
2. Enter your primary payment information.
3. Click ‘Update’ when you have finished.

In the future, you may wish to use a backup credit card in order to
help ensure continuous delivery of your ads. You can add a backup
credit card by visiting your Billing Preferences page or visit the
AdWords Help Centre for more details:

Thank you for advertising with Google AdWords. We look forward to
providing you with the most effective advertising available.

The Google AdWords Team.”

I got this message at my email address which I used to subscribe to Google. And I also didn’t pay the last invoice because I issue a new credit card. So it is normal to receive such message and use the above link to update my payment info. Oh , But wait, if you are in my shoes, please don’t do that. The link above is fake and will lead you to another url.
http://adwords.google.com/select this link is not the real one. If you look to the HTML code , you will find the real one is http://adwords.google.com.qsoil.cn/select/login

What does it mean? It means that as soon as you click on the above link, you will be forwarded to another copy cat site of google adwords to steal your log in data. Or to drop a Trojan into your pc and they can steal all your personal info or drop a virus that can destroy your pc.

So please be careful. Evil is always there.

Building reciprocal links

October 10, 2008 By: Newbornbusiness Category: Incoming Links No Comments →

Adding reciprocal links to your website will help you in two ways. While reciprocal links are not the only way to build quality traffic to your website, they are very useful. The second way that reciprocal links work to help you are by boosting your rankings with the search engines. When using reciprocal links to help you build quality traffic, the first step is to find link partners by searching in the major search engines.

Websites may not respond to your request very quickly. The process can actually be a little frustrating. When looking to build quality traffic for your home based business, be sure that you keep good records of all of the sites that you approach when looking to build reciprocal links.

But how do you persuade high quality, relevant sites to link to yours? If you haven’t received a response in about three weeks time, send a polite reminder to them. When you are dealing with like websites, it is easy for some to get lost in the shuffle. The trick is to find sites that actually complement yours.

You can follow the next steps:

1-     Do good quality research to find quality links to help you build traffic for your home based business. When the search engines rank sites, they evaluate the amount and the quality of the websites that you have linked back to you and your home based business.

2-     Begin your quest to draw quality traffic by placing a link from one of the complementary sites to your website. While many experts will tell you it is best to actually contact the website you are choosing to link to before hand; this can show initiative on your part and that you truly like their site.

3-     Check out their resource pages, you may find some sites that you would like to link to as well.

4-     Be patient, but also do not give up. When you are beginning a home based business, one of the many ways to draw quality traffic to your website is by learning how to add reciprocal links to your site.

5-      While some people do actually link to their competitors, it is best to stay with sites that are complementary and not direct competitors.

Individuals that visit or shop the site that you link with are now able to visit your website by clicking the link that has been placed on the linking site. Try to not go for the first companies that you come across on the web; do your homework. But there are things you must do to increase your success when learning how to add reciprocal links to websites

The Idol of Customer Service

October 08, 2008 By: Mohamed Elmasry Category: Customer Service No Comments →

You worked hard to put your business online and you did your best to promote your products or services. You started to get customers…now what is next?
many business owners see that if they did the above steps and earned money, that means they succeeded…oh no…it is not the truth. There is one missing step.

It is After-Sale service or Customer Support service. Some businesses see that this step is time and money consuming. They already sold their product so why they should pay for this extra step and hire staff for it.

The answer is :

1- Your customers will come back again to buy from you rather than buying from someone else they don’t know..

2- keeping your customers satisfied will make them loyal to you and they will promote the product for you to their friends and family

3- By good Customer Support, you will brand your products and your business reputation will be “trusted”

I want to show you how far the customer support can be and how far it can affect customers. I have a personal experience as adwords advertiser. A few months ago , there was a problem in using “website Optimizer” which may affect the security of websites that use its generated code. First, I’m living in the Middle East and I never thought of that I’ll receive a phone call from Google that telling me about the problem and they apologize for the inconvenience may occur. The lady who was talking is calm , cool and talk in simple and clear English. She said they call me to remove the code immediately from my sites because they found a bug in “Website Optimizer” that may harm my site.

The call is ended but I felt a lot of comfort and trust in Google because they delt with me as I’m the only customer . They cared to talk to me personally not through email to be sure of that the problem will not affect my business which is too small for them to care about. But they do care and that means they contacted all their clients who may be estimated as 400.000 advertisers and spent a lot of time and human resources to support their clients.

So do you know now how should the customer service be?
