Which works better for you, a HTML or a Plain Text Newsletter?

August 21, 2008 By: Newbornbusiness Category: Newsletters No Comments →

When you start writing a Newsletter you should think about an important thing that should this email and newsletter that appear in your users’ inbox, be written in HTML or Plain Text?

It is very simple question and the answer is that it depends on the business you are in and the circumstances around you; Newsletters in plain text are usually the best option, but HTML is also acceptable nowadays.

Plain text email newsletters are extremely quick and easy to compose, and to send. If you choose plain text for your newsletters, you’ll be limited to a very plain, simple newsletter. Plain text newsletters cannot contain color or graphics, and you won’t be able to incorporate any design elements, such as varying text styles and sizes, or formatting text into multiple columns.

HTML looks more professional, it is considered a powerful tool because it allows you to develop a deeper brand identity within the recipients email box and presents a more powerful presentation of your offerings.

There are some internet marketers who believe that changing from text to HTML format is better because studies show that click rates are higher for HTML-formatted newsletters. And others believe that HTML Newsletters give the sense that they are not personalized emails, which makes your newsletters most likely not to be read in most cases. It’s only natural to believe that converting subscribers’ preferences will increase response.

The fact now is that you are not going to predict your subscribers’ need or what will they find interesting or accept; therefore you should let your customers tell you how they want to receive content and offers. Rather than try to guess at customer acceptance, ask them for preferences directly. Newsletters should have a preferences question allowing permission email subscribers to set their own format preference.

Monetize your feed by adding Adsense

August 19, 2008 By: Mohamed Elmasry Category: Google Adsense 3 Comments →

Add Adsense to your feeds; all adsense publishers were waiting for this feature. They wanted to add adsense to their feeds. The good news is that Google officially launched this feature after beta test created in 2005 and after three years of perfection. If you log into your account , you will see in adsense setup tab a new option called “Adsense for feeds”.

You know how it is important for content sites to have such feature because most of these sites can have a lot of subscribers who fetch the feed to their igoogle or pageflakes or any other start page portals, so they really don’t visit the original sites who supply this content. And by this way, these sites lose potential profits and can’t get the whole benefit from their traffic.

Now , they can post the ads through feeds and show them to readers any where. You will earn from impressions and clicks and this is good too. As google says “Our salesforce will sell cost-per-impression (CPM) ads directly to the largest advertisers, while the rest of your inventory will be filled with contextually targeted cost-per-click (CPC) and CPM ads. This means that more of your feed items will be sold and with higher overall revenue, than with any other feed network.”

With adsense for feeds it is possible to customize your ads for feeds as well; you can choose whether you would want to display text ads or image ads or a combination of both like the regular adsense program. By adding the adsense ads in your RSS feeds then it will multiply your income and open up many doors for yourself for the adsense revenue to flow in.

Don’t waste any time and start to add this option today. Login to your adsense account and try to figure out the much awaited Google adsense for feeds. It is time to monetize your feed.

Is YouTube going to Vanish?!

August 18, 2008 By: Newbornbusiness Category: Scam 7 Comments →

Is YouTube really worth its value? Is it going to lose this value? Do websites that depend on users for their content will no longer exist? Is it possible to find one day an empty worthless YouTube which bought by google for 1.65 billion just 2 years ago?!

All of these questions dangled in my mind after reading about a new technique that scammers and hackers use to continue their series of damaging the world wide web.

Scammers and hackers use so many ways to steal our privacy online and hunt our personal info. But the new thing is that they Simply, seek to steal online user’s info for certain websites, log into their accounts, and delete all the content they have added . This way the content, which the user has added before, will no longer be available and will give an error message when someone tries to open it.

If we tackle this issue from a wider prospective, the result will be horrible . for instance, if we look at (YouTube), as one of these sites which gained its value from users, it will be worthless and hollow. If hackers succeeded to do that, there will be large number of videos that will not work and lose their importance.

If you are searching for a video that has been added by a user whose User name and Password were stolen and all his content deleted by a hacker, you will never find this video work and instead will have an error message telling you that “This video is no longer available” or “This video has been deleted by the author”

This way, YouTube and many other sharing websites are going to be emptied by some evil minds, and lose their value.

It may seem that Internet security has been out of control and there are some threats that can affect and damage any thing you are doing online. So be careful, your personal PC will not only affect you but it may lead important business to lose its value. You have to feel that you are responsible not only for your security but for others too. Keep your PC secure. Now installing internet security program is mandatory not like old innocent days of the net.

Deadly SEO mistakes that even an expert may make

August 12, 2008 By: Newbornbusiness Category: SEO 4 Comments →

Search engine optimization is not really a simple strategy to implement. Yes, at first you might think that all you need to do is really basic. But then one simple mistake on your part could lead to great disaster. Since No one is perfect, especially when it comes to the ever-changing technology of search engine marketing and SEO, you need to know the most common SEO mistakes and try to prevent yourself from making them.

* Never have a bad title for your page; titles are the very first thing that the search engine spiders will see when they look at your website. A title should give the spider as well as the visitor a clear idea of what the website is all about.

* Never use the same Title and Meta description for all the pages; the Title and Meta tags of your page should be unique. Each page should be optimized according to a particular set of keywords that are the most relevant to the content of that page. The problem happens when you place the same title and Meta description for all pages, as your keywords will not match the content and thus making it very difficult to optimize.

* Never Write For Search Engines Instead of Humans; some webmasters are obsessing over keyword densities, ensuring all their keywords are entered into the text. This can for sure result in text that is disjointed and unreadable for humans. Writing for the search engine robots makes you miss the entire point of your site. You need the user who visits your site to come again and again, not to do his best to forget about your site.

* Never have poor incoming links; links have to be good incoming and outgoing links. If you have poor incoming links or there is poor internal linking all of your hard work to obtain links will be in vain. Links are important and the more incoming links a page receives, the more important the search engines view the web page. So always beware when choosing links.

Search engine optimization has become the focus of many people who have online businesses, but in the course of trying to be noticed many are making some huge mistakes. Not a lot of website or Web business owners know enough about SEO and what it can do to help them and their business. These mistakes can easily be avoided, and many have found these mistakes to be hampering their success as well.

Important rules and ways to have an effective Newsletter

August 03, 2008 By: Newbornbusiness Category: Newsletters 2 Comments →

It’s obvious that your newsletter can only be effective if people bother to read it. Newsletters and articles specific to your customer base are a good way to stay in touch with your customers and they can be created very easily and can be built with virtually no technical expertise. Just you will need to consider the following:

* It is important that your e-newsletter contains interesting articles and that the information is easy to read. You can create a newsletter and make the most use of it is to fill it with original content and make sure that your URL is well displayed. If people feel that they’re getting good content from your newsletter, they’ll come to the site to find out more.

* Choose interesting headlines which are enticing and curiosity-building. In an introductory paragraph introduce subscribers to what they will learn; you can even include a “what’s inside” section. Your lead article should be a very short, “quick tips” article so people can view at least one article without clicking through to your site.

* Doing a newsletter requires a commitment of time and also effort. If you promise to deliver at a certain time each day or week or month, then you will need to deliver on time. If you do not, you will simply loose your credibility.

* Newsletters can even be a great source of income all on their own; you can set up a recurring payment plan and bill your customers in regular basics in exchange for your valuable information. You can even put paid advertisements in your newsletter; since you own the newsletter, any of your related products or services would get prime advertising space. And you can charge other vendors to place their advertisements in your newsletter. But make sure that all the ads are relevant.

* something you should always bear in mind that Your Newsletters should not be used solely for promoting special offers or selling stuff, because people don’t appreciate that and you’ll lose many of your subscribers if you do.

* Don’t forget to provide your contact information on every page of your newsletter. At a minimum, you should supply your readers with your web address, email address, and your phone number. Footers and headers are perfect for that purpose.
